WOW, that must of been the closest win in Savage history! It was 2 : 2 and both teams where holding the enemies flag. TAA where bombarding our defence relentlessly, at times up to 4 attackers, I think. But CGA-Dillinger (our grapple monkey ;) and FC was doing his thing to ovoid the rockets and BFG's in our base. Meanwhile we had enough so we risked sending some defenders to attack and retrieve our flag, and did they ever. It took some fragging but exactly 1 sec before the match would end our BFG dude got the enemy FC and with wise positioning of our own FC we capped to win the game. TAA where dumfounded, and we where smiling to our ears. It was an excellent game with very even teams. Way cool TAA!

The second game started out somewhat like the first game where TAA stormed in to our more or less unguarded base :( and made 2 relatively quick caps. After we got sorted we managed get 2 caps back. It was looking kind of even in the middle of the match but because TAA had most of the techs we had a harder time defending our base. We where also, for the most part, only with 2 defenders in the flag area so that didn't help any too. In the end TAA capped 2 more with the game ending at 4 : 2 for TAA. Good work TAA.

I think everyone will agree that we had very cool 2 games with well-played positions. Thanks go out to my teammates for an excellent match!

Another high note:
I want to congratulate ObDeath to being a full member as of now. Your game against TAA convinced us that you have what it takes to call yourself CGA-ObDeath!
Also welcome our new 2nd attacker - the one, the only - Cl@f! :)

Our clan has lost a player this week.
Stinger has decided to leave us do to real life so we are down 1 defender. Good luck m8!

At long last and after 7 days of utter anticipation our clan server is finally back up and running :)
After doing a Y2K test by simulating a power outage the hard drive crashed. Luckily I could fix the hard drive and save ALL the work we had done plus countless other files. We now have an 8Gig hard drive and I hope this one is more robust. The graphic card also didn't like the power outage and I had to replace it too.

I'll have the tactics up later today. Please all members visit the message board and tell me if you can attend the match tomorrow.

After just speaking to Alex over at UKCCL he has also agreed to the banning of this program .. as have the Yanks over at the OGL.
Hopefully a check for this modification to the Quake2.exe file will be added to BW-Admin asap ..
I would ask anyone who as installed it to remove it from their systems as anyone caught using it will also be banned .. ta

Hi gang!
Got some Savage news for your pleasure today. It seems that 2 clans (TkD and WTF) are not in the league lineup anymore and therefore 2 openings are vacant. But the Savage Council have decided not to bring in 2 new clans from the waiting list but instead give default wins to the clan opponents that would have played them. This also means that for next season the first 3 clans in our division will go up to Div 4 and no clan will drop from the Savage League. Now I strongly believe that we are capable of reaching one of those 3 upper positions so lets get it cracking and do our best to move up to Div 4 :)

Please don't forget to visit our Polling Station and vote on the questions, particularly #3! Deadline is this Friday at midnight!

Very well played all. Thnx to LD50 for giving us some great games! We tried our tactics and it seemed to work quiet well particularly on Q2CTF1.
We are all looking forward to next Tuesday's games when we meet again.
We did have some server problems however, I couldn't even get on my own server! :( We've been having problems ever since I installed the BW-Admin program. Looks like I'll get rid of it and replace it with L-Fire again.

Well all, as far as it looks right now LD50 and CGA have agreed to have permanent practices every Tuesday at 20:00 GMT.
The goal is to obviously better our game play but more so try new ideas on tactics, player setups and positions.

What a mess that was again! :( Once again we all had to deal with server's falling like flies. A real shame because we where doing kinda good.

It seems that over the weekend, an unknown player flipped his lid while playing in a Savage match. For that, it will cost him a 4 match ban!
I just want to quot the leagues feelings about the matter:

Well, we had another noshow yesterday :( I asked the clan leader an hour later if we had a match and he siad "yep" - go figure :(

Well, we had 2 nice games with UKF today! First was on Q2CTF1 where it was too close to call! We lost by points 1 : 1 :(
Second game was on a new map called CTF05b and they ruled the quad. I think the last score was 8 : 2 for UKF. Had fun and hope we play them again soon :)

We finally won a game in Savage Season 7! Congrats to all players!
It was definitely nerve wrecking. The first game was close and we missed our chance winning that one due to loosing touch in defence. Final score was LD50 4 : CGA 2.
The second game was even closer! It was head on all the way. Both teams played evenly and this time luck was a little on our side :) Final was LD50 4 : CGA 5.
Thnx to LD50 for a great and enjoyable match! Also thnx to ObDeath for sticking in as reserve!

Well, after driving 348km (218miles) and spending 5 hours in the car, I'm back home and am sorry that I didn't manage to be there in time to meet the others :( The weather was perfect and obviously it seemed that whole Bavaria wanted to get in to the act. Looking back I should've went to Munich with the train! Hope the others are enjoying the fest!

Thanks to our good pal MonkeyKing we got a permanent fixture with clan SPOOKS every Thursday. See Schedules page for more info.
